Sedgemoor District Council is preparing an updated Open Space Assessment.
The assessment updates the understanding of current provision and the open space needs of the district going forward. Following this audit the assessment sets out recommendations and priorities for improvement, including how provision can be addressed through the planning process. The document will also form part of the evidence base for future Local Plans prepared by the new Somerset Council.
Prior to taking forward for adoption the Council are now undertaken 4 weeks public consultation on the draft document.
